I wonder if this is able to be hot water canned. It would be great to have a family relish recipe to give out at the holidays. I will take the word "seal" at the end to mean that it does, because this makes a metric ton of relish!
Ingredients
1/2 bushel green tomoatoes
10 large onions
2 pounds sweet peppers (green and red)
2 quarts vinegar
1/4 pound mustard seed
2 teaspoons celery seed
1 pound sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Process
"Put (first three) ingredients through a grinder. Ass 1/2 cup salt and let stand over night. Squeeze out and add 2 quarts vinegar, 1/4 pound white mustard seed, 2 teaspoons celery seed, 1 pound sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Let boil 10 minutes and seal. "
